Fall Flowers Card Tote

Hello all! I have to say how much I love the range of Designer Series Double Sided Papers in our catalogue, but it is only recently that I have actually managed to acquire some and then play with them!
Lots of card makers say to me "Oh, I don't do scrapbooking", or scrapbookers say to me, "I don't have time for my scrap booking let alone making cards!" For you card makers out there, you don't have to be into scrapbooking to make use of beautiful papers - especially with Stampin' Up! All the colours in the Stampin' Up! range of card stock and inks match the colours in the papers perfectly, so you can make your 12x12 inch paper go a long way on several cards! And they are so super quick to make when you use paper already patterned.... and just as an added bonus, many of the papers coordinate beautifully with the Stamp sets! It doesn't get any easier than that! Scrapbookers, you will find your pages coming together beautifully with the coordinating papers at your fingertips!

These pictures are of a Card Tote with 3 matching cards and envelopes I put together as a door prize at the recent St Phillips College Community Fair at Narara. I have drawn a winner, and congratulations go to Robin of Narara! I shall be calling you Robin to arrange to drop off your prize.....

This is a pic of the tote, with the 3 cards and matching envelopes...

Here are 2 of the cards......

This is a close up of the 3rd card.....

And finally a slightly blurry close up of the patterned paper and the dangling embellishment. So what have I used?

The Fall Flowers designer series paper has Really Rust, Old Olive and Soft Sky as the main 3 colours in the pack. These are the colours I pulled out of it anyway to use for the base of the tote itself (Really Rust), and the 3 cards (Really Rust, Old Olive and Soft Sky). With one sheet of the paper I managed to decorate all 4 items and still had pieces left for other projects. The beautiful flower and curly vine design is complemented with the soft sky spotted pattern on the reverse of the paper. I used the Baroque Border Stampin' Around Wheel (standard sized) to subtly pattern the card stock on each piece with the matching ink. Each Whisper White envelope is decorated top and bottom with this wheel to match its card. I have used strips of the patterned paper to stick across the cards, and then added ribbons to complement -Groovy Guava and Soft Sky double stitched ribbon, and Old Olive wide grosgrain ribbon. I have created the embellishment for 2 of the cards and the dangly bit on the front of the tote with the scalloped circle punch, one and three eighths inch and one and a quarter inch punches, and the one inch and half inch punches. The stamp sets are Big Pieces (the Really Rust flower on the Old Olive card) and Circle of Friendship, which you will recall is part of the special for June with the one and a quarter inch circle punch and the Love Notes (see post below). The Jumbo Pewter eyelet was set with the Crop-a-dile of course, allowing me to thread and tie off the ribbon to hang the embellishment on the front of the tote.....

Well, that should do for now! ;-) All images are copyright Stampin' Up! 1990-2008, and all artwork is by Cheryl Andrews....

Fabulous Specials!!!!

Wow!!!! Now is a fabulous time to have a workshop!!!! Until the 15th July, all workshop sales that total more than $700 (not including postage) earn an extra $50 in hostess rewards!!!! That's on top of the standard hostess rewards..... so for example, a hostess who has workshop sales between $700 and $799 normally gets a level 2 hostess stamp set, and $80 in free product. With this great deal, that is now $130 in free product! The $50 applies as extra product for each sales level above that too, so BOOK NOW!!!! I do have SOME spaces left in my diary before the end of this promotion..... email me on cherylandrews@optusnet.com.au and we can sort out a date.

In addition to this fabulous deal for hostesses, it is time to eScape, with Stampin' Up! and myself to help you!!! Put down the phone, turn off the computer, and break free from the 'e'! Remember when you got letters in your mailbox (not just bills!) instead of text messages and emails? eScape with me, and reconnect with the ones you love by sending a HANDMADE CARD. To celebrate such a momentous occasion, Stampin' Up! has another fabulous deal saving you 25% off the eScape bundle - a packet of Love Notes (includes envelopes), the Circle of Friendship stamp set, and the one and a quarter inch circle punch for $58.80 - normally $78.40!!!! You save almost $20.

So here are some cards to look at, and soon I will post some samples with the Circle of Friendship stamp set. (You can click here to see the flyer with some samples of the set....)

I love the new catalogue set Baroque Motifs. It is so easy to use, looks beautiful every time, and is well priced at $39.95 too! This card uses one of the new In Colors too - Soft Sky. I have used Soft Sky card stock and ink, Chocolate Chip card stock and ink, and some Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon, which I have tied around a hat pin from the new Pretties Kit loaded with pearl and clear beads. There is also some silky flowers from the Pretties Kit, and a clear Rhinestone Brad too in the centre of the flower on the top right.

These 3 cards also use Baroque Motifs, all with Chocolate Chip, alternatively with Groovy Guava and Blue Bayou (new In Colors) and Regal Rose. They are stamped onto very Vanilla card stock, layered onto the base card, and trimmed with coordinating ribbon ..... the Photo Corner punch, eyelets, Crop-a-Dile, and Short and Sweet Stamp set have all been used too..... Quick and simple cards for any occasion. Stampin' Up! is a registered trademark. All images are copyright Stampin' Up! 1990 - 2008. All artwork is by Cheryl Andrews for your inspiration.....

Looking forward to seeing you soon at your next workshop!
