.....little Megan Grace. And congratulations to one of my oldest and dearest friends, Kerry, and her husband Michael and their 2 boys. A baby girl, precious, small and beautiful. Blessings to your newly expanded family!

And of course, the perfect time to give a card is at the birth of a brand new person! So of course I did! And because she is such a special little person, I had to make a special card!!!
So of course all products are Stampin' Up! and can be purchased through me... Soft Sky card stock and ink, Rose Red designer series paper, Pretty in Pink card stock, Purely Pomegranate double stitched ribbon, So Many Sayings hostess stamp set, So Swirly jumbo wheel, and the Pretties Kit. I have threaded the pearl and clear beads onto the hat pin and adhered it to the card with glue dots (in case you were wondering), and dyed the flowers from the kit to match the card with my aquapainter and ink pads. There is also a sneak peek of one of the gorgeous new patterned silver brads from the Hodgepodge kit in the Spring Mini catalogue. (that's the silver bit in the centre of the flower.) I love to make matching envelopes too! And yes, I am aware that the colours are the same as the card below, but I really do love them together at the moment! Enjoy.... A long awaited ribbon swap.....

"At last!" I hear you say.... she hosts a ribbon swap......

Here is the deal.... the first ribbon swap will be the new In Colour double stitched ribbons.... There are 6 beautiful colours, including Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, River Rock, Groovy Guava and Purely Pomegranate.... you can see them on page 146 of your 2008-2009 Idea Book and Cataloue, or check out the online catalogue if you don't have one of your own... (click on the catalogue link over on the right there...) Here is how it works.... email me ASAP on cherylandrews@optusnet.com.au to register your desire to be included. Each roll is $16.95, so once I have 6 people willing to be involved, I will collect your $16.95, and purchase 1 of each colour.... I will divvy them up accordingly (please note ribbon lengths are approximate - I will divide each roll evenly) and deliver them to you in a mutually arranged manner.... Quick Update

Just a quick post - the Spring Mini Catalogue launch dates are filling fast. Due to some switcherooni goings on, the August 8th launch night is now FULL. If you ladies could get your $10 payments to me ASAP so I can order some new goodies, that would be excellent....

Which means the August 1st launch night has some more spaces now..... be quick!

Also, the new Stampin' Up! July promotion of the discounted kit - I quoted the Starter Kit as being valued at $590 in my last post, but my 9 was upside-down.... it is valued at $560, at the even further discounted price of $299 (normally $324). Now for some pics of a special book I made for my daughter's teacher who is retiring this week.... I do something similar for my kids' teachers at the end of every year, but this teacher needed hers a bit early! I have simply covered some squares of card board, and made a mini book filled with quotes about teachers and teaching, embellished with the Berry Bliss double sided designer series paper, scallop punch, circle punches, spring bouquet punch, buttons, ribbons, inks, card stock, eyelets and stamps from various sets. The colours are Close to Cocoa, Pretty in Pink and Purely Pomegranate. I love how everything coordinates with Stampin' Up! No more hunting for just the right coloured piece.... Enjoy!
